An evening dedicated to the people who give everything

Direct Support Professionals, DSPs, are the backbone of care. They help individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities live with dignity, safety, independence, and purpose — assisting with daily living, personal care, transportation, behavioral and medication support, often through nights, weekends, and holidays. They are caregivers, advocates, companions, problem-solvers, and protectors.

At the gala, Community Care Rx brings together families, colleagues, and community partners to honor these extraordinary professionals and celebrate the difference they make every day.

A night of recognition and celebration

The CCRX DSP Gala is an evening of dinner, community, and heartfelt recognition — celebrating our honorees, sharing their stories, and showing them their work is seen, valued, and deeply appreciated. It is our way of saying more than thank you.

Why this evening matters

Despite the importance and complexity of their work, many DSPs face real financial hardship because of the low wages common across the field — raising families, pursuing education, or working multiple jobs while continuing to show up for the individuals who depend on them. This gala recognizes their dedication and, through the generosity of our sponsors, provides meaningful financial support to the honorees we celebrate.
